Horseback Riding to Arenal Volcano
After a brief explanation about how to ride your horse, you will start this adventure. The horseback ride will last about 3 hours starting at the foot of the mountain in a stable. We’ll explore paths unreachable via any vehicle going up through secondary forest terrains, cattle fields as well as crossing through an authentic primary forest area that will lead us to a beautiful iris lagoon.
Along the way, you might get to see different birds and mammals like monkeys. Additionally, a guide will share several interesting facts from each stage, the Arenal Volcano, the Arenal region in general, and the resident fauna.
As you continue the ascension, the landscape on your back will grow into a breathtaking view. You’ll keep the ride up until you reach a fantastic lookout, where you will be the closest to the Arenal Volcano crater that is allowed. After enjoying that sight, we’ll return to our horses to start our way down the mountain, where a snack will be waiting for us.
